Last transfer in...Gibsonia!

August 21, 2017

Hello, everyone!

So first off, this week is transfers.  We found out today that I am going to Gibsonia out in Lakeland.  I will be in a trio again, with Sister Barkdull and Sister Frye!  I know Sister Frye and she is awesome and really sweet.  Sister Durrant will also be in a trio and training a new missionary!

We had the last district meeting of the transfer on Tuesday and then went and taught T at Dunkin Donuts.  It was one of the coolest lessons I've had on my mission!  She is amazing and so willing to learn.  She loves what we teach, wanted to come to church, and committed herself to read from the Book of Mormon.  She asks great questions, too.

We taught Brother L on Wednesday and he seems to be doing better.  On Thursday we weekly planned, had coordination, and practiced for a musical number that Sister Durrant is doing next week.

On Friday we taught T again at a member's house and it went well!  She had read some of the Book of Mormon and said it made sense to her.  She was still set on coming to church but didn't show on Sunday and we haven't heard back from her.  After seeing T we went to Sister V and she gave us delicious chicken and vegetable soup!  That night we went on an exchange.  I was with Sister Graham on the USF campus for the day.  It was pretty cool!  On the way home on Saturday we got stuck for almost 40 minutes on a road because of a bad accident.  Adventures!  At least there was a little lightning to watch.

Yesterday we talked to an inactive member named Sister G who I had met briefly before but only been able to catch her daughter the other times.  She was really cool and we came just as she was putting bricks in the yard so we were able to help her.  Then it started to rain so we went inside and she told us about herself.  She wants to change her life and knows that some of the choices she is making are wrong.  She invited us over for dinner on Tuesday and her daughter who is also an inactive member and her son will be there.

Well, I'm excited to see what Gibsonia has in store!  I'll miss Apollo Beach but I know someone else is needed here now and it will be for the best because Heavenly Father's plan is loving and perfect.  I hope you all have a great week!
